Ötzi – the Iceman
This sensational find made in 1991 in the mountains of the Ötz Valley has provided us with a crucial piece of the puzzle regarding our past. The Iceman – together with his clothing and equipment – offer a unique insight into the everyday life of Neolithic Man, his environment, and his extraordenary ability to adapt to it.

Ötzi lived 5000 years ago. We know in detail what he ate and also the diseases he suffered during the last hours of his life. But the world‘s oldest wet mummy is still full of mysteries. Scientific investigations have not yet been concluded.
